Akyra is the waterproof Gore-Tex membrane footwear specifically for winter trail running. Structured and protective, it is suitable for Ultra Trails, Ultra Marathons and extended training sessions in the winter months. Particularly snug, comfortable and protective, it is a trail shoe designed for extended use on off-road terrain. The upper is made of water-repellent, drag-resistant mesh and is structured on three layers that provide comfort from the inside out, thanks to the seamless construction, flexibility and structure thanks to the innovative MicroLite Skeleton™ application that follows the movement of the foot dynamically during the run, and protection thanks to the Flex-Guard™ structural applications that keep the shoe light while providing a barrier against abrasion when running among rocks and roots. Exceptional stability is provided by the TrailCage System™ technology, which is placed between the two layers of the upper and gives structure and wrapping by integrating with the lacing system. The sole developed by La Sportiva’s R&D department features the new FriXion XT grippy tread with Impact Brake System and exclusive design with Trail Rocker technology which favours the natural “external heel-internal toe” support of the foot during the run. Cushioning, protection and comfort, 3 sides of a perfect geometry: origami, which inspires the overall design of the shoe. With Akyra, winter running is an art.
