Today, August 29, 2019, Garmin presented the new Fenix 6 product range.
Unlike the transition from Fenix 5 to Fenix 5 Plus, with this new release Garmin presents a product that revolutionizes its flagship outdoor product with new features and upgrades on all features.
The Fenix 6 range, like the 5 and 5 plus series, presents the three different sizes that translate into Fenix 6S, Fenix 6 and Fenix 6X. The revolution, however, already begins in the three formats: in fact, Fenix 6 and Fenix 6X have a larger screen than the previous models of the 5 and 5 plus series.
materials
Garmin Fenix 6 significantly increases its robustness. The MIL-STD-810 standards have been applied to its design, which mimic the conditions that the device will experience during its service, usually applied in the military field, but also in commercial products to which it is intended to give a particular robustness and durability. The new Fenix also have the latest Corning Gorilla Glass, Corning Gorilla Solar Glass and Sapphire / Sapphire that allow perfect readability and a significant increase in scratch resistance.

As anticipated, the new Fenix 6 has developed and improved functionality.

-TopoActive maps, skiing and adaptive to chosen profile automatically
-P PacePro function : Fenix 6, on pre-set routes, suggests the ideal pace to keep (according to one’s objective) considering elevation and slope to be faced
-Power Manager : Fenix 6 not only indicates the remaining battery level but also the remaining time available by analysing the functions currently in use. Power Manager also allows you to select functions to keep active or switch off by indicating the impact they have on power consumption.

Through its Corning Gorilla Solar Glass, Fenix 6X is able to charge with solar energy. Through the dedicated widget you will be able to know at any time how much light your Fenix has been exposed to and consequently how much additional charge you have. The ProSolar function can increase battery life by up to 50% in energy saving mode.
