Newline Sport was founded and developed in Holstebro, Denmark, as a manufacturer of running clothing and accessories in 1981.
It was in fact in that year that the founder, Helge Petersen, during a parachute jump had the revolutionary idea from which he founded his clothing lines.
Petersen, a senior parachutist and pentathlete, did not like the fact that the normal running clothes, made of cotton, that he uses easily got wet and stayed damp on the skin. Instead, he noticed that the fabric his parachute was made of wetted more easily and dried very quickly. He therefore decided to develop a line of sportswear using that fabric to give him the same characteristics as the parachute.
Petersen then created an innovative and functional clothing line, paying particular attention to detail and comfort.
The technical features
Today, Newline has created an elegant and colourful line of clothing, which, at the same time, maintains the technical excellence sought by Petersen from the outset, with garments that adapt to all weather conditions. The ultra-light and soft windproof jackets have excellent breathability and water resistance. The seams of all jackets are heat-sealed, the fit is slim and the fabrics particularly light. The fluorescent colours and reflex inserts make runners clearly visible even in the dark. The trousers are made of thermal stretch, warm and breathable, ideal for training in colder temperatures. They have a zip pocket on the back and reflex inserts for night-time recognition.
