New La Sportiva seamless products are the result of a combination of different fibers including Amni Soul Eco® yarn. Amni Soul Eco® is a polyamide yarn with enhanced biodegradability, that reduces the environmental impact and the amount of waste left to future generations. In anaerobic landfills, its unique composition facilitates access and digestion of waste material by bacteria, thus accelerating the biodegradation process. Amni Soul Eco® breaks down into organic matter (biomass) and biogas being eliminated from the planet in about 5 years, whilst other fibres take decades to decompose. This technology is part of a new generation of sustainable yarns coming from processes that respects the environment. This care for the planet is present in the reuse of water used in its manufacturing process and in the reduction of greenhouse gases, which are treated prior to being released into the environment, thus preserving the ozone layer and nature.

The elastane yarn La Sportiva decided to use in the new seamless garments is also biodegradable. Based on assessments of biodegradability, the elastane yarn breaks down in the microbiologically active soil, so we can consider it an environmentally friendly fibre. In addition, the cationic polyester blended with the other two materials give a unique tone on tone look to these styles.
