Solar recharging

The solar-charged Power Glass lens extends battery life, providing up to 100 hours of operation in energy-saving mode (70 in the standard version) or up to 45 hours in heavy use conditions (35 in the standard version). During the day, it adds up to 42 minutes per hour of cycling in energy-saving mode and up to 20 minutes per hour in heavy use conditions.

CLIMBPRO FUNCTION

It automatically displays the remaining ascent and slope as you ascend while following a path or trail. It helps you gauge your efforts and visualises how far you have to go to reach the top. You can also save your climbs for post-ride data analysis on your device or in the Garmin Connect app.

Keep track of every ride with mountain bike metrics, every descent can be epic. Edge 1040 monitors them all by tracking the number and distance of jumps and time in the air.

GRIT AND FLOW

Grit assesses the difficulty of a ride using GPS, altitude and other data. Flow measures pedalling uniformity during a descent and provides a score to be passed the next time.

GNSS MULTI-BAND

Multi-system, multi-band GNSS technology ensures better position accuracy and coverage even in the most challenging environments.
